Fashion Show!

Today was a fun day! We had the privilege to participate in a fashion show benefitting the Ballet Women's Committee. We had so many great kids volunteer to model and they all did a great job today! We had some great moments.. thought I would share a few with y'all!

This little girl was soooo pretty! She was perfect for this dress!

As a veteran nanny and auntie I have seen the behavioral gamut, so I do not say this lightly... THESE KIDS WERE SO WELL BEHAVED! I mean, there was not so much as a fidget out of any of these children! One day, when I have children, I plan on hunting down all these mothers and making them tell me their secrets!

These three girls were adorable and did such a great job!

I got a big kick out of the next pic... you see.. this was a luncheon for grown ups.. so the food was for grown ups. So the servers walked by with some soup which I think had broccoli in it, and the small ones were having none of it! Hilarious!

Here is a precious girl who picked out such a cute outfit to wear! Isn't she pretty?

The kids had to wait for a few minutes... they were so good!

There were alot of really cute moments.. like this one! She's just taking a peek at her audience!

Then there might have been a few nerves...

I know I've said it a thousand times, but these children were amazing! Look at how sweetly they sat and posed for pictures...

This little guy was so handsome in his red sweater!

Then it was time to get in line! Don't they all look great??

Then they took the runway!!

Here are few more shots from the day...

The Gorgeous Miss Harrison...

These two are just so beautiful!

Thank you so much for modeling everybody! We hope you had as much fun as we did!

Mary James Trunk Show!!!

Who loves Mary James? I know lots of ya'll do! Well.. to make our Antiques and Boutiques GNO even more fun we have decided to mix it up a little and have the Mary James trunk show the same night! This is going to be a great thing for those of you who like to match your little ones...There will be about 18 pieces to choose from including EASTER. Imagine how nice it would be to not have to think about the whole Easter outfit/matching the siblings thing! If you come to the trunk show you can have it all done...BEFORE CHRISTMAS! You know that would be such a great feeling!

On a different note... I don't know if I've mentioned this before but... we have leggings! Brown leggings, white leggings, black leggings, pink leggings, striped leggings... You get the idea! So go take a look in those closets! I bet there are some cute tops and dresses that need some leggings!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Our Toy Area?

Those of you who know us well know that we have a "play area" complete with a train table! (Nevermind that there is no actual train, just the table and tracks) You see, what cracks me up about our play area is how enthralled the children who visit us are with it. I know that these little ones have much better toys at home. Why are they so into our hand me down toys? Let me say, that I use the term "hand me down" because I really and truly believe that 75% of our toys are actually things that have been left by various children. This is the latest:

If any of you are missing your "Belle" choker PLEASE give us a call! Also in our collection, Kermit the Frog, various happy meal toys, sippy cups and pacis (but I have to be honest, the sippy cups and pacis go in the trash within a day or two), and some mysterious baby dolls. I guess all these little ones have a "share the wealth" mentality... they bring things in, leave them, and maybe every once in a while take a little something out! Just remember, you can bring all your offspring to the Lili Pad, there is plenty of entertainment either in the form of dilapidated toys or a host of women who are more than happy to entertain a baby!

So much to tell!

I feel like I'm always apologizing for my infrequent posts! We've had some problems here at the Casa de Abby and Matt with spotty internet service..

You know what I love? Pajamas! I think it is so cute when my sister has all her little ones in matching PJs! So cute! So here are just a few of the pajama options that we have here in LiliPadLand...

The above pics are of some boy's pajamas by a new line for us called Charles and Alice. For some reason I don't have a picture of any of their girl's stuff.. you'll just have to swing by the store and have a look for yourself! I think these are super cute though... love the airplanes! (apparently I was being a spaz the day I took some of these pics, I don't know why I didn't lay them out more neatly) Moving on! Below are a couple of Christmas pajamas! My favorites!

Weird lighting in that last one, same colors as the one above... one more for ya'll..

Love them! So precious!

Ok! So who loves a girl's night out? I know I do! In fact, all of us gals at the Lili Pad have been known to have a pretty good time when we get out on our own away from husbands, children, etc.. (Pablo's. Last spring. Margaritas. That's all I'll say about that!) Well, Thursday, November 6th.... Cahaba Heights Merchants present Antiques and Boutiques Girl's Night Out! This includes three of our favorite things, food, beverages, SHOPPING. Join us November 6th from 5pm-8pm!

Any of you have a "tween" daughter who might be interested in a little thing called oh..I don't know.. HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL? Swing by before October 21 to enter a drawing for four tickets to opening night of High School Musical 3! Yeah! On that note, check out these purses. I think that your tweens might be interested in these! Christmas isn't far away!

That last one has kind of glare... sorry... but you get the idea! These are going to be great holiday gifts!

So that's the latest news from our little world. We hope all is well in yours! Swing by the store soon to see much more!
